Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Developer to design, develop, and maintain Oracle databases and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs and enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Design and Development: Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures. Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for complex business logic and data processing.
Performance Tuning: Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance improvements. Analyze and resolve performance issues and ensure efficient database operations.
Data Integration: Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration between different systems. Utilize Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or other ETL tools as needed.
Application Development: Build and support applications that interact with Oracle databases. Ensure that applications meet user requirements and adhere to best practices.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot database issues. Assist with debugging and resolving application and database-related problems.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, processes, and code. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience as an Oracle Developer or in a similar role. Experience with Oracle Database 12c or later versions is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database administration. Experience with Oracle development tools such as Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar tools.
Performance Tuning: Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques and tools. Ability to optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Informatica is a plus.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in database design and development.
