We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients during nighttime shifts, as well as daytime coverage in the ICU and pulmonary consults. You will be joining a group of nurse practitioner who have all been trained and flourished at Holy Cross Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care to critically ill patients during nighttime and daytime shifts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
- Perform a variety of procedures including central line and arterial line placement, intubation, and chest tube placement.
- Manage and coordinate care for critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in patient and family education to ensure understanding of treatment plans and promote optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in critical care management, including advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in California.
- DEA license
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience as a registered nurse is required.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) is required.
- Proficiency in performing central line and arterial line placement, intubation, and chest tube placement is preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
