About the Role: We seek a dynamic and motivated outside Sales and Design Consultant for our fast-growing sector of Sports and Recreation, with a primary focus on the western region of the United States. The successful candidate will be results-oriented, efficient, and proactive to ensure customer satisfaction. As a key member of our sales force, he/she will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. While this role can sit in multiple locations within the United States, the emphasis will be on customers in states from the northern plains (Nebraska, North, and South Dakota) and west. Some travel should be expected to the company headquarters during the initial training and learning phase. Additionally, regular travel for meetings with prospective and existing customers is also a requirement of the role. Company provides a competitive compensation package that includes the potential for very attractive commissions.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect potential customers, and conduct cold calls, emails, networking events, and in-person visits to initiate contact.
- Understand a client’s needs, effectively communicate, and provide them with detailed proposals/ quotes and technical information related to any requests.
- Work cross-functionally to facilitate the flow of information, align sales strategies, and share insights.
- Achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor products, and best practices.
- Travel within the designated market is anticipated and mandatory.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven and professional sales experience, experience in the municipal and/ or agriculture space is preferred, but not required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree is desirable but not essential.
- Goal-driven with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Thorough attention to detail; the ability to prioritize and multitask; be proactive and mindful of deadlines; the confidence to approach phone calls and meetings without reluctance.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- A keen sense of humility, with an aptitude for learning and growing is essential.
- The ability and willingness to travel.
- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of CRM systems; Sales Force a plus but not required.
