Human Resources Generalist
We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our client, a global banking financial institution based in Midtown Manhattan, New York. This role will support a diverse and dynamic workforce and is essential for maintaining the high standards of HR excellence our client is known for.
Role Overview
In this multi-faceted position, you will be involved in everything from recruitment to payroll management. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining HR programs and ensuring compliance with company policies. What you will achieve in this role:
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to Head Office’s personnel policies and procedures.
- HR Documentation: Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and other HR policies.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment / hiring process to attract and onboard top talent.
- Administration: Handle payroll and related administrative tasks.
- Payroll and Benefits Management: Oversee payroll administration and manage employee benefits to ensure they are comprehensive and competitive.
- Disciplinary and Grievance Management: Handle and resolve disciplinary and grievance issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- HR Program Development: Create and sustain HR programs that keep the company competitive within the market.
- Work Environment: Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Graduate Program Coordination: Manage the Head Office graduate program to support talent development.
What you must bring to this role:
- Experience: Must have 5 years of HR Generalist experience within the financial / banking sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is a requirement
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent human relations abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Professionalism: High level of confidentiality, discretion, and resilience.
- Payroll Expertise: Experience in payroll management; familiarity with ADP is must
