Grants Manager B - Contract - Philadelphia, PA
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Grants Manager for the Institute for RNA Innovation.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role involves managing all post-award activities, overseeing the financial management of an assigned grant portfolio and assisting with proposal development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising and fostering the professional development of one direct report.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- Experience in pre- and post-award research administration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive data.
- Proven ability to handle complex portfolios.
- Experience in University research and financial systems, including Business Objects/Data Warehouse, Workday, BEN Financials.
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and data warehouse systems.
- Attention to detail and proactive work style.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational and writing skills.
The Grants Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Manage post-award activities including account set up, expenditure monitoring, and fund projections.
- Ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and provide financial advice to principal investigators.
- Oversee post-award grants management activities on complex grants.
- Prepare monthly reports on all sponsored projects for Principal Investigators (PIs).
- Conduct financial analysis and hold monthly meetings with PIs to review grant funds and provide quarterly forecasts.
- Set up new awards including budget entry journals, subcontract initiation, and processing for all sponsored projects.
- Prepare annual sponsored programs budgets and assist with large, complex grant mechanism submissions.
- Provide purchase order and travel reimbursement approvals.
- Supervise one direct report and ensure all grant activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement training opportunities for skill development that promote research professional staff career advancement.
