Trade Finance Analyst - Special Investigations
This role is for a Large Bank
45-53 an hour
Location: Charlotte, NC 3 days a week onsite in university area, remote 2 days a week
Contract Length: 12+ months
Overview of Work:
- Trade Finance Lookback: Conduct transactional analysis from trade activities, including letters of credit and standby letters.
- Activity Review: Assess whether activities are commercially reasonable and align with Customer standards.
- Customer Research: Perform research on customers and write detailed synopses.
- Documentation: Write-ups will be entered into the System of Record (SOR) as part of a larger system.
- Ad-hoc Requests: Quickly respond to requests from the director, such as building pivot tables and charts for presentations.
- Presentation : Present your finding on the client previous trades
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Assignment: Analyze client trades, pull relevant data, and create comprehensive synopses and presentations.
- Special Investigations: Focus on writing skills and negative news analysis.
- Adaptability: Ability to think on your feet and work with a sense of urgency.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel for data analysis and presentation.
- Business Writing: Excellent writing skills for creating detailed reports and SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports).
Preferred Background:
- Special Investigations: Experience in special investigations, particularly with large transactional volumes and complex cases.
- Trade Finance: Familiarity with trade finance, including letters of credit.
- English Majors: Strong writing background is highly valued.
Training: Training will be provided, but candidates with relevant backgrounds will adapt more quickly. Expected to handle 5-6 cases per day.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Business Execution.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Business Execution deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Business Execution challenges.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Business Execution.
