ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a fast-growing tech/hardware company in the Bay Area who is in search of a Senior Manager of FP&A on an Interim to Hire basis. The Senior Manager of FP&A will support both the Hardware Ops and G&A functions, helping to drive better reporting around cost/gross margin as well as preparing budgets, managing financial metrics, developing management reporting, and ad hoc analyses.
This role is a hybrid position and will require on site work in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will be expected to commute to the office three days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development and implementation of zero-based budgeting and monthly variance analysis for multiple business units.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and design metrics to drive cost optimization and enhance gross margin.
- Prepare and present management reports and performance analytics to senior leadership.
- Partner closely with business and accounting teams to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Lead the financial planning process, including forecasting and long-term planning.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
- Perform ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Operational Finance in a technology company, particularly involving hardware, manufacturing operations, supply chain, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating financial concepts across various functions and levels.
- In-depth understanding of the hardware business model and key profitability drivers.
- Strong foundation in cost accounting principles.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills.
- Background in Investment Banking or Management Consulting is advantageous.
