Staff Accountant
Location: Irving/Las Colinas, TX - In office non-remote position
Primary Function
This position is responsible for assisting the Controller with basic accounting functions within the CareFlite Accounting Department. This assistance will be with monthly & yearly closes, daily banking, and other various reconciliations. This person will support the accounts payable and the accounting analysis function.
This position requires a personal commitment to CareFlite's mission and core values and the willingness to demonstrate those core values in all activities performed for CareFlite or while representing CareFlite. The incumbent(s) of this position are active participants in the organization and support the changes necessary for the organization's survival.
REPORTS TO / SUPERVISES
This position reports directly to the Controller. This position is not responsible for the supervision of any other CareFlite personnel but must work collaboratively with other personnel to resolve any accounting issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Controller and managers from all departments to resolve issues that may occur. Monitor and track fixed asset additions and maintain prepaid schedules. Assists in the input of accounts payable invoices and POs as needed. May also produce weekly accounts payable checks and assist with filing. This position also serves as a resource for air and ground divisions in producing reports for compliance objectives and strategic planning. This includes general ledger reconciliations and other duties that may be assigned by the Controller.
Reports errors and omissions in accounting records promptly.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field.
Minimum one year experience preferred but not required.
Proficient with word processing software and Excel.
Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains and SQL preferred, not required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
