Cement Board Fabricators is seeking a motivated individual who is excited to help spread the word about the fiber cement board cladding we import from Italy. This new team member will work with architects, general contractors and installers on commercial and residential projects, providing them with product knowledge, samples, quotes and installation procedures. They will also collaborate with the internal team, providing customer feedback, demand and forecasts that will aid in purchasing and inventory management.
The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running and build upon our nationwide market share. Strong verbal and written communication is a must, along with the ability to work as a team and brainstorm ways to best reach and serve our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and expand knowledge of CBF materials/accessories and product installation.
- Nurture customer relationships to maintain business and identify opportunities for growth.
- Assess market potential and identify new business opportunities through our XXX and general research/cold calls.
- Document sales funnel for weekly submittal, showing all pertinent information related to the prospect, job status and follow up schedule.
- Manage day-to-day sales activities: generate leads, provide product samples, review drawings, provide quotes, create sales orders and maintain accurate client records in ERP software system.
- Work with the General Manager and Shop Manager to maintain inventory, schedule fabrication to meet project deadlines and schedule shipment of materials.
- Provide technical assistance and oversee customer projects with possible travel as needed.
- Establish and nurture internal relationships by sharing expertise and collaborating on general strategies and tactics for overall company development and growth.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the NetSuite KRM system and communicate this metric in weekly sales meeting as it relates to defined sales goals.
- Conduct professional seminars and AIA presentations to influencers, including architects, General contractors, and Owner Clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Architecture, Construction Management or related degree OR field experience equivalent to 10 yrs.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales, preferably in building/construction materials.
- Experience with any of the following a plus: fiber cement panels, building envelope construction, insulation, exterior metal cladding.
- Candidates must have a proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies and forecasts, managing a sales funnel and achieving sales results.
- Must articulate a full understanding of the construction and specification process.
- Exhibit solid business acumen, including the ability to interpret and analyze blueprints and prepare estimates, presentations and proposals.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational skills with aggressive follow-through and ability to close.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must be able to travel as required by the specific region to meet/exceed objectives and grow the market.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and properly utilize and organize files within a network.
- Oracle NetSuite ERP software, CAD Software, and or Ardis Nesting Program
- Dodge Construction Network
