Sr. Director of Accounts Receivable – CPG – Hybrid
A billion-dollar global CPG company is seeking an experienced Senior Director of AR to join their leadership team. The successful candidate will work directly with company’s executive team in supporting the accounts receivable and collections processes. They are in search of someone with experience leading a team with a proven track record for implementing and scaling effective policies and procedures throughout the A/R workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing all tasks within accounts receivable, including credit + collections, cash, and risk management
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior finance and business leaders.
- Create and uphold company credit policies by specifying terms for credit extension and guidelines for collections
- Guarantee precise and efficient billing for projects while ensuring adherence to contractual terms
- Address payment discrepancies by delegating team members to liaise with customers, team members, and vendors
- Provide forward-looking cash collection data to support cash flow budgeting and forecasting.
- Evaluate the financial viability through analyzing their financial statements and credit histories and establishing client credit limits
- Continuously monitor and minimize credit risks to reduce losses from bad debt
- Maintain meticulous records of all credit and collection actions for an international portfolio, including communication and prior past-due payments from clients
- Work cross-functionally with other business units to ensure a consistent AR and collections process throughout the company
- Promote automation for internal controls; improve activities with company’s share service team
- Oversee working capital and cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity of the company
- Submit credit data to bureaus in line with industry and legal standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in either Finance or Accounting
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in credit and collections at a CPG-related business, with time spent overseeing a team
- Proficiency in computer skills, SAP preferred, with expertise in Excel being mandatory
- The ability to manage and organize extensive data while paying close attention to accuracy and detail.
Salary: $155,000 - $200,000 + bonus
Location: Greater Winston-Salem, NC Area
