Russell Tobin's client, a multinational Manufacturing and Automotive company is seeking a Sr. Insurance & Risk Management Analyst to work Hybrid in Chicago, IL.
W2 Contract to hire: 12 months (Contract to hire)
Pay rate: $45 - $55/hr, DOE
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - onsite downtown once in a while)
Responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks within the organization. Participate in developing and implementing risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize potential losses and ensure compliance with regulations. Complete risk assessments, analyze data and provide recommendations.
Responsibilities
Insurance Program Management:
- Actively participate in the development, evaluation and implementation of the company’s global risk insurance programs which includes US and International programs.
- Facilitate day-to-day activities including internal information requests for policies, insurance certificates and/or auto ID cards, accounting/billing, coordination of claims and property loss control services.
- Works collaboratively with the brokers to support the collection of underwriting data and preparation of all necessary applications, submissions, proposals and presentations.
- Serves as single point of contact for facilities regarding insurance inquiries.
- Reviews contractual insurance provisions in coordination with our brokerage partner.
- Assists with Workers Compensation Monopolist State Filing
- Reviews insurance language negotiated in customer contracts.
- Supports development of Risk Management Information System
- Processes and tracks invoicing for all programs of insurance.
Claims Management:
- Work closely with brokerage and insurance partners to manage claims effectively and efficiently.
- Retrieve and analyze claims data and work with brokerage and insurance carrier partners to facilitate timely closure of claims.
Risk Analysis:
- Performs risk analysis duties including compilations of underwriting information and coverage placement, loss forecasting and analysis in order to promote maximum protection of our assets and assist in loss reduction often acting as lead responsible for coverage placement.
- Conduct risk assessments to mitigate liability exposures and contractual risks.
Required experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in with an insurance carrier or broker, corporate risk management.
- Familiarity working with Risk Management Information Systems, implementation and data integrity, and use of system for data management and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or Risk Management
- CPCU / ARM designations are a plus
