McFarlin Stanford has partnered with a leading commercial and residential landscaping company located in the Longmont, CO area that is currently looking for an Outside Sales Representative for their growing team. This is an opportunity to be part of something great and leave a footprint for the future.
The main function of this position would be to connect with potential and existing customers, understand their needs, and close those all-important sales deals. Below is a list of the responsibilities and qualifications for the role.
Core Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers in-person, by phone, and via email to better understand their needs.
- Create sales proposals upon identifying the needs of the customers/clients.
- Negotiation and discussing terms with clients to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
- Ensure to present value of the company, products, and services that are being offered.
- Generate leads from referrals from existing clients and identifying/attracting new potential customers.
- Generate sales reports to provide several key reasons including performance tracking, decision making, trends, goals, etc.
- Promote the company in a positive and professional way to increase awareness and drive profitability.
- Maintain market savvy and have a deep understanding of the market dynamics, customer needs, trends, and competitors.
- Excel in providing exceptional customer service and go above and beyond to ensure to exceed customers’ expectations.
- Building and maintaining relationships is crucial for long-term success including trust, connection, communication, adding value, being responsive, showing appreciation, etc.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required, Bachelor degree is preferred
- At least 2+ years of outside sales experience
- Knowledge of commercial and residential landscaping
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- Negotiation abilities to close deals and handle objections
- Organization and time-management to manage multiple clients/sales activities
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and strong technical skills
- Be a self-starter who can work independently and set goals to exceed
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Be able to present and accurately explain information and services/products
