Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) who is committed to being highly visible and actively engaged with hospital staff. The CNO will manage nursing services across our 4, soon to be 5, Dignity Health St. Rose Neighborhood Hospital locations, ensuring the provision of quality patient care, performance improvement, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of patient care and safety.
- Direct the delivery of nursing care, treatment, and services.
- Collaborate with the Regional CEO, Medical Staff, and Board of Directors.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership experience in a nursing management role.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Commitment to being on-site and actively involved with staff.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or enrolled in a graduate program in one of these curriculums, required
- Current Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC) certification through the American Heart Association, required
- 4+ yrs supervisory experience with inpatient and ER hospital services, required
- 5+ yrs of nursing experience required: emergency department and critical care experience preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where position will be based, required
- Knowledge of JCAHO or DNV regulatory compliance, required
- Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
