Position:
Power Analyst at Durable Electric Power LLC is required to assess and analyze the Eastern Interconnection power systems in support of power trading operation of Durable Electric Power. The position will be include collecting and analyzing the pertinent data of power grid operation events as well as design and develop various reports and metrics that provide an insight into markets trading electricity. The Analyst would also conduct statistical analysis of time series data, trending, forecasting, and data mining. The position would include designing dimensional models for automated analysis; to study and identify opportunities for Durable Electric Power traders.

Primary responsibilities:
· Learn underlying fundamentals of electricity markets including nodal pricing
· Support and enhance existing power flow modeling tool
· Analyze historical power flow congestions, generation data and power consumption data
· Develop multiple power grid operating scenarios and preprocess raw data for simulations
· Develop optimization algorithms to process publicly available market data and extract actionable information for power market trading
· Conduct market and operations research on different power markets
· Develop automation tools to support all aspects of electricity power trading
