Responsibilities
Based at our corporate headquarters in Central NJ, responsibilities will focus on growing our current off-price account base and selling excess and closeout inventory. Duties include:
- Achieve sales objectives for the Off-price Channel
- Provide forecasts for all business to Planning Department to ensure proper levels of customer service.
- Identify new channels of distribution and requirements for penetration of those channels. Present volume goals and strategies for achieving those goals.
- Work with Customer Service and Traffic Department to ensure customer orders are being handled properly.
- Maintain and cultivate buyer and merchandise manager relationships to ensure smooth communication and accessibility.
- Communicate competitive situations and changes in the retail assortments of our customers on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Qualified candidates MUST have a minimum of 3 years’ sales and account management experience selling to off-price retailers.
- Experience selling juvenile licensed or home products a plus.
- Ability to develop dynamic sales presentations is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience addressing markdowns, allowance, chargebacks, returns, overbills, etc.
- Ability to work in the NJ Corporate office 4 days per week is required.
- Travel required.
