Senior Accountant
One of our clients is ready to bring on a Senior Accountant with previous nonprofit accounting experience to eventually move into an Accounting Manager or Controller position. The ideal candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented and familiar with U.S. GAAP and principles of accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting/analysis packages
- Prepare, maintain, and review financial records, financial statements, property agreements, general ledgers, budgets, and cash flows
- Validate and reconcile monthly bank statements, property taxes and balance sheets
- Manage daily and month-end transactions including receiving checks, posting receipts, preparing deposits, and reviewing payable invoices
- Support preparation of U.S. SEC GAAP disclosures, calculations and analyses for consolidation and any other required materials quarterly reporting and close
- Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of full-cycle Accounting experience
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong problem solver with superior critical thinking skills
- Adept, sensitive communicator able to build trust with others and act as a cross-functional business partner
- Highly detail-oriented, with an analytical approach to supporting the strategic decision-making process
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently and consistently meet deadlines
