Job Summary:
As a Production Group Leader in Final Repair you will be responsible for managing a team of 20+ people and performing vehicle repairs in a fast paced plant setting. 75% of your day will be engaging on the floor, walking the plant, problem solving on the fly, doing vehicle repairs, interacting with employees, and understanding issues to get vehicles shipped out ASAP. You will interface with different areas in the plant to resolve issues such as paint, quality, body, etc.. 25% of your day will be spend doing administrative work such as payroll for your employees, updating goals in internal systems, safety observations, and audits.
Must Haves:
- HS Diploma
- 5+ years of vehicle mechanic and repair experience
- Experience supervising technicians (shop foreman or service manager exp)
- Strong electrical knowledge and background
- Actively or previously ASE certified
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.)
- Ability to deal with conflicts and resolve them in a fast-paced environment
Plusses:
- Experience working on electric vehicles
- UAW experience
- Repair experience in an automotive manufacturing plant
- Ability to read schematics
- MDI experience (software programming)
Shifts: 1st (5am-5:30pm) & 2nd (5pm-5:30am)
**MUST BE WILLING TO WORK 7 DAYS A WEEK, 12 HOURS PER DAY**
