**We are looking to hire the ideal candidate in the U.S. to work on our project in Alberta, Canada (full relocation required for approximately 12 months), after which the incumbent will be relocated back to one of our U.S. Projects**
Responsibilities:
- Integrate safety and compliance into all aspects of work
- Manage reliability process of the turbines during warranty and out of warranty periods, following up reliability processes, supervising trials of new components, etc.
- Monitor, track, report, and work with sites to correct deficiencies in turbine performance
- Provide direction to sites and Support Technicians in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbines
- Lead and train personnel to safely and efficiently accomplish their duties
- Audit the quality and reporting of planned maintenance
- Assist in the preparation of project justifications, maintenance plans, and budgets
- Review reliability based maintenance activities and reporting, developing new techniques to improve equipment performance or lower costs
- Perform equipment inspections and develop detailed reports, as needed
- Create and maintain the technical specifications for new parts and services
- Research, collect information, and prepare for self-operations for any sites under an OEM services contract
- Monitor, audit, and generate work management system and operational activity reports as needed
- Improve on-time maintenances and work with site managers to improve project management skills
- Improving maintenances (preventative and corrective) productivity and ensuring that on-time and return to service commitments are met.
- Manage operational projects and special projects including, but not limited to major correctives, ensuring that O&M, Procurement, Safety, Construction are utilized and pulled in on as needed basis.
- Advise O&M Manager of daily operational activities and concerns
- Lead the development of processes and procedures to safely and effectively operate Acciona renewable generating facilities for “Best in Class Performance”
- Develop, review, and approve engineering packages and projects before implementation.
- Evaluate work requests and ensure they are appropriate for operational requirements, performing analysis looking for more effective ways to perform the work.
- Proficiently perform Root Cause Analysis to accurately determine failure mode and cause, producing detailed reports as needed
- Maintain required training certifications and proficiencies
- Analyzewind turbines alarms, provide a diagnosis and discuss the result with the sites for increasing reliability
- Interpret oil & grease analysis, and provide feasible action plans.
- Interpretvibration analysis reports and provide feasible action plans
- Develop and design special tooling for special corrective actions, as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Open to relocate to site in Alberta, Canada for the duration of the project (12 months approx.) and then be relocated to one of our other projects in the U.S.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 - 5 years of experience in construction of energy facilities or renewable energy industry is a plus.
- Capacity to work on varied activities, managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
- Technically astute and capable of expertise-based problem solving
- High attention to detail and commitment to produce high quality outputs
- Make decisions based on accepted quality standards, policies and procedures
- An effective team-worker who can work independently when required
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- High level of computer literacy including MS Office
