In this position you will have the unique opportunity to support our Threat / Edge Security team; through innovative engineering you will contribute to improving our Email, Web and App security through modern integrations and cutting-edge products. Doing your part to protect Humana and its affiliates.
Your role as Engineer will be to support the team in roadmap planning, design, and delivery through Agile framework. As an Engineer you follow North Star direction of enterprise-level infrastructure and security strategies. You will be empowered to discuss direction in the best interest of Humana and affiliates, through communication, alignment, and partnership.
Responsibilities
The Cyber Security Engineer is involved in all stages of systems and Infrastructure management, ensuring that:
- Robust understanding of Email Security, WAF and Botnet Protection
- Infrastructure and systems are kept to modern design and best practice for scalability and resiliency
- The installation, configuration and administration of infrastructure and security systems is done while ensuring best practices, lifecycle management and operational hygiene
- Ability to manage queues in accordance with SLA and MTTR guidelines
- Use their voice to represent department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives
- Make sound decisions regarding workloads, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction
- Follows established guidelines/procedures
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Ability to provide technical guidance to leadership and business, and escalate when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with security engineering edge products for Email, Web and App
- Knowledge of Agile processes and ability to lead several areas in continuous delivery and improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate between all levels and functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Cyber Security, RSA or Networking Certifications
- Experience with CLI, Automation, CI/CD
