LHH is assisting our client in their search for a contract to hire Payroll Coordinator in Lewis Center, OH. This role will be responsible for managing payroll for approximately 50 employees on a weekly basis. This position will sit onsite and be a full time position. While experience with Paylocity is helpful, candidates with experience in other payroll software will also be considered. The role involves processing weekly payroll for both hourly and salary employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, and also be comfortable assisting with administrative duties. Previous experience with QuickBooks would also help you succeed in this position.
Main Duties:
- Manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for weekly payroll.
- Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks.
- Process payroll for approximately 50 employees on a weekly basis.
- Validate and reconcile all payroll data.
- Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
- Serve as a backup for other office duties
- Use QuickBooks to generate invoices and assist with accounts payable.
- Perform heavy data entry related to payroll and other administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a payroll specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency in Paylocity is preferred, but experience with other payroll software will also be considered.
- Experience with various types of payroll, including hourly and salary
- Experience tracking labor hours on job site and calculating wages
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Willingness to assist in other areas and take on various roles as needed.
