Adams & Martin Group is working with an innovative biotech company seeking assistance from a California-barred Attorney on their IP and corporate matters. Help be at the forefront of medical breakthroughs!
This will be a remote role for someone located anywhere in the US, however California bar admission and good standing is a requirement. In addition, candidate must have at least 5 years of experience handling contract drafting and execution, as well as in depth knowledge of data privacy and intellectual property issues. Previous experience in a life science or biotech industry is desired, however those who have in-house experience handling similar duties are encouraged to apply.
This role will start off part time, asking for 20-25 hours/week handling various projects delegated by legal team.
Duties will include:
- negotiating, drafting and executing various contracts, not limited to: material transfer contracts, vender agreements, MSAs, R&D contracts, clinical trials, IIS
- research and strategy regarding intellectual property rights on company innovations - licensing, trademark, and working with outside counsel on potential patent issues
- providing insight and assist in processes regarding data rights and privacy
- working alongside Project Management and Chief Legal counsel on additional projects as needed
Requirements:
- barred and in good standing to practice law in state of California. Residency in California is not required
- 5 years of experience handling in-house coporate and IP tasks, ideally within field of biotech/life sciences
- ability to work efficiently remotely - strong communication skills, ability to run with a task given, and provide sufficient updates to delegating attorneys and PMs
