Position Overview:
Under the direction and leadership of the Operations Managers, the Security Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Aviation Security Officers in daily operations. Experience with and understanding of the job function of each of the posts is paramount to successfully managing the officers performing these functions.
Responsibilities:
The main priority of supervisors is to ensure that we maintain compliance with local and federal regulations in respect to each of the following:
- Aircraft Access Control: by assuring that only authorized personnel enter the aircraft while on the ground.
- Aircraft Ramp Access Control: by providing AOA access control & safety oversight while aircraft is on the ground
- Aircraft Search: by meticulously searching all areas of the aircraft according to company, and federal regulations to ensure the safety of travelers’ pre-departure.
- Baggage Security: by surveillance of bag room & baggage make up area to ensure no baggage is stolen or pilfered.
- Catering Security: by providing surveillance at the catering kitchen, searching all catering equipment, and ensuring that nothing is tampered with in transit from the facilities to aircraft.
- Passenger Verification: by providing exemplary customer service in airport terminal while making sure that all passengers have valid identification and are authorized to board flights
Additional Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that communication with the client is handled and resolved in a timely and effective manner and pass downs are reported to the operations / general manager
- Ensuring that any client special requests or additional requirements are responded to and documented in a timely manner
- Ensuring that staffing levels are met in accordance with the client specifications
- Overseeing and ensuring that all security personnel are punctual, professional, and execute all duties in accordance with their job descriptions for all activities at the airport
- Ensuring that all security personnel follow company uniform and grooming regulations
- Ensuring that all security personnel have the paperwork and equipment required for the account.
