Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Microsoft Teams Expert to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective deployment, administration, and support of Microsoft Teams within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Teams architecture, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record of implementing and optimizing Teams solutions.
Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft Teams, providing L3 support and guidance to resolve escalated issues.
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Teams environments, including governance, security, and integration with other Microsoft 365 services.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging Microsoft Teams capabilities.
Implement and manage Teams policies, compliance measures, and best practices to ensure secure and efficient usage.
Lead and participate in Microsoft Teams migration projects from legacy collaboration platforms or on-premises solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation, including technical guides, operational procedures, and user training materials.
Monitor Microsoft Teams performance and usage metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
Stay up-to-date with Microsoft Teams updates, features, and industry best practices to recommend and implement enhancements.
Must-have Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 to 12 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Teams in a large enterprise environment.
Expertise in Microsoft Teams architecture, including voice and video conferencing, chat, channels, and integration with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation of Teams administration tasks.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features as they relate to Teams.
Proven experience in managing complex Teams deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve L3 support issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Good to Have
Microsoft certifications such as MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams and related certifications are highly desirable.
Experience with other Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business is a plus.
