Position Summary:
The Contract Scientist, Bioconjugation will be responsible for bioconjugation activities to produce novel antibody conjugates (ADCs) within the Large Molecule Discovery- Bioconjugation group. The scientist will work cross-functionally as part of internal multi-disciplinary teams, as well as working with external partners and CROs. The scientist will be expected to participate in experimental design and planning, conduct experiments, maintain detailed records, and communicate results.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Hands-on experience in the discovery and development of ADCs or bioconjugates are preferred.
- Work independently to prepare and optimize bioconjugates with basic lysine, cysteine, and other types of conjugation chemistry.
- Working knowledge in relevant ADC analytical techniques including UV-Vis, HIC, SEC, RP-HPLC, and LC-MS are preferred.
- Experience in bench scale purification using AKTA system is desired.
- Clearly documenting experiments and results in electronic lab notebook entries
Required:
- A BS or MS with 0-3+ years relevant work experience. Level commensurate with education and experience.

Ideal candidate will also have:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interact well with colleagues, vendors, contractors, scientific advisors, and staff at all levels.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent analytical, documentation, and multi-tasking skills.
- Previous experience with therapeutic antibodies, antibody conjugates, bioconjugate chemistry, and other protein science related areas is a plus
