Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Admissions Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping prospective students navigate their educational journey, from initial inquiry to enrollment. As an Admissions Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing detailed information about our programs, addressing concerns, and guiding students through the admissions process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage Prospective Students: Warmly welcome and assist prospective students, providing comprehensive information about V School’s programs in cybersecurity, web development, and user design experience.
- Understand Student Needs: Ask insightful questions to understand students' interests, career goals, and educational needs.
- Program Explanation: Clearly explain the details of our programs, including the flipped classroom model, mastery-based approach, and the certifications offered.
- Handle Objections: Address common concerns regarding cost, time commitment, and job prospects with empathy and detailed information.
- Encourage and Motivate: Encourage prospective students to take the open book aptitude test and share success stories of past students to motivate them.
- Support Admissions Process: Guide students through the entire admissions process, ensuring they have all the necessary information and support to make informed decisions.
- Follow-Up: Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students to ensure they are progressing through the admissions process and address any additional questions or concerns.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the marketing and admissions team to improve outreach strategies and support enrollment goals.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required. Relevant certifications and/or equivalent work experience in admissions advising, student counseling, or a related role are also acceptable.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in admissions advising, student counseling, or a related role. Experience in the tech education sector is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
- Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to help others achieve their educational and career goals.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office, and virtual communication tools.
- Passion for Education: Enthusiasm for tech education and a commitment to student success.
- Financial Navigation: Experience guiding students through tuition and financing options, helping them understand and navigate various plans to make their education affordable.
