Title: Director of Relationship Management
Location: Beverly Hills
Experience level: 3+ years at RIA or private bank, ideally in leadership/management capacity
Compensation: $100K-$125K base ($150K total comp)
Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated professional who shares our entrepreneurial spirit to join our team as a Director of Relationship Management. You will work closely with four RMs and the partners to efficiently help our clients manage important elements of their portfolios and daily needs and implement workflow processes. You do not need to “reinvent the wheel” – but rather fine tune the foundation we have built. You will also act as the lead RM for specific clients and handle their daily needs.
Responsibilities
- Identifying areas of workflow improvement and creating and/or implementing processes to increase efficiency.
- Management of four relationship managers (with more hires planned for future)
- Working closely with the partners and CIO as a liaison to the RM team.
- Participate in ad-hoc firm projects like client events, firm committee initiatives, etc.
- Help to recruit and train other employees as our firm continues to grow.
- White-glove touches, like leading initiatives to send out birthday cards, holiday gifts, care packages, etc., to our clients.
- Resolving urgent issues (may include trade corrections, opening accounts before tax deadlines, ACH or money movement failures, etc.). These do not happen often, but you will lead the charge to resolution and ensuring that the error does not occur again.
- Account opening and new client onboarding.
- Daily client account maintenance.
- Promptly responding to client requests for funds, data, etc.
- Execute journal entries, check requests, ACH transfers, and wires.
- Assist clients with 529 contributions and distributions.
- Process charitable donations.
- Answer phones and monitor faxes
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably with a business or finance emphasis.
- Minimum of 3 years working at an RIA or private bank, ideally in a role that included team management or a leadership role.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- As this role is client facing, you should be a “people person” who enjoys forming deep and meaningful relationships with our clients.
- Ability to think outside of the box, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be a true team player and be able to jump into projects as needed.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Salentica, SMArtX, and Black Diamond software is a plus.
- A good sense of humor and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- You should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Beverly Hills, as this role is primarily in-office
