Overview
The Relationship Banker II provides extraordinary service to the Bank’s Relationship Banking and Private Banking clients. This position develops new business relationships by identifying and calling on existing or prospective businesses while representing the Bank through active participation in local community events and by promoting the Bank’s products and services.
Responsibilities
- Understands, embodies, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives, the Bank’s Vision, Purpose, and Promise, including the principals of the 4 C’s.
- Build long term client relationships by providing extraordinary service in person and by phone.
- Possess a clear understanding of technical aspects and features and benefits of the Bank’s products and services to effectively cross-sell additional products.
- Proactively engage clients, listen for opportunities to provide recommendations and referrals to other business units to meet client needs.
- Open personal checking, savings, CDs, and IRA accounts; open business checking accounts. Obtain appropriate documentation and follow-up with clients after account opening.
- Originate Consumer and Small Business loans to assist the client in obtaining the necessary documentation for each loan request.
- Provide guidance for maximizing FDIC coverage, assist clients with appropriate titling of accounts, and respond to more complex client deposit needs.
- Perform personal banking transactions for clients, such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Complete account maintenance for clients, such as address changes, debit cards, title changes and research requests; provide copies of checks, statements or other documents as requested.
- Perform daily balancing of cash drawer or cash recycler; verify, scan and link new account documents on imaging system; answer main phone as needed.
- Maintain an active role in the community by developing networking and referral opportunities.
- Participate in business development strategies, including Bank promotions and cross selling efforts, by identifying and calling on existing or prospective businesses and providing continuous follow up.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports, presentations, and proposals
- Meet or exceed all deposit goals and targets.
- Communicate effectively with Manager, especially if issues or concerns arise with ability to meet deadlines or provide appropriate coverage.
- Deliver services accurately and on time.
- Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
- Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Represent the Bank and Relationship Banking team in a highly professional manner.
- Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
- Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Reliable and predictable on-site attendance.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of personal and Private Banking deposit products and processes, as well as banking rules and regulations.
- Prior experience in a similar role within retail banking services, preferably in a commercial bank.
- Prior experience with networking and outbound calling efforts
- Knowledge and experience with bank processing software.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers, and scanners as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Bachelor’s degree with exposure to Accounting or Finance courses is preferred or equivalent work experience.
