Engineering Director – Hybrid 3 days – Albuquerque, NM

We are in search of a creative and Engineering Director to lead the expansion of our Albuquerque office.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing people and projects across the West Region including Albuquerque, Arizona, Colorado and California.
- Collaborate with cross functional leadership and coordinate experienced engineers across multiple sectors including Semiconductors, Data Centers, Healthcare, DoD and DoE.
- Support West Region office leaders in the development of regional business plans to assist with strategic growth forecasting.
- Manage and develop Engineering staff including performance reviews, training and personal development strategies.
- Perform as Subject Matter Expert in an engineering discipline, ideally mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process.
- Build the engineering team through recruitment, and mentorship.
- Seek and develop new business opportunities across the West Region and US including face to face client meetings.
- Create and establish schedules and project documents including electrical fire alarm plans, emergency power distribution, control systems, telecom and security plans.
- Oversee the engineering management team and provide direction across detailed schematic design, modeling and analysis of systems, programming, design development, construction documents, construction administration and project close-out.
- Travel to project sites when required to review constructability, review plan and project details, meet with clients and address contractor and/or vendor issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
- 15+ years’ experience in semiconductor, advanced technology or data center facility design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Strong communication and professionalism displayed when dealing with clients, project managers, junior design staff and executive level management.
- Experience with REVIT, MS Office and BIM Systems.
- Knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to travel to sites.
