JOB PURPOSE
The Director of Technology is responsible for driving technology decisions for the company to achieve competitive advantages and reach business goals and objectives. As a key member of the senior management team, the Director of Technology establishes policies that promote company culture and vision. The Director of IT and Cloud Services is responsible for the efficiency of the business where it relates to technology, which includes maintaining control of technical operations and establishing and following a set of policies and processes. The Director of Technology must maintain the highest level of integrity and lead by example in all areas.
This is not a remote position: Being on-site is needed to perform all aspects of this position.
Print / Mail / Fulfilment / Promo / Marketing. Experience in the Print, Mail, and Fulfillment industry a plus!
Requirements
Provide visible leadership, motivating others by promoting a clear sense of purpose, inspiring a positive attitude and team atmosphere.
Participate in executive team meetings to assist in planning and to make recommendations on matters related to technology, manufacturing, operations, client services, financials, and sales.
Have a high-level understanding of all business functions; utilize knowledge to manage technology throughout the company and educate others on best practices.
Handle high-level technical challenges and follow through for end user satisfaction.
Provides accurate, reliable projections and reports to the CEO as requested.
Look to future technologies to implement proactively, such as cloud services.
Identify potential current and future technology threats and implement systems and processes to mitigate risks.
Recommend and implement security enhancements and purchases.
Develop and direct all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information.
Recognize and cultivate rising talent. Dedicated to building and growing a strong and stable workforce.
Review and evaluate expenditure requests submitted by subordinates handling those within authority.
Perform other duties as requested by the CEO.
IT Support
Support the IT Team with overflow and technical troubleshooting.
Document processes and procedures.
Oversee routine technical assistance and computer/IT maintenance.
Work with IT Providers on maintaining and implementing SIEM, Anti-Virus, Data Encryption workflow/solution, and VLANs.
Administration of network backup appliances.
Disaster Recovery Management, e.g. monitoring network backup appliances and software.
Administration and Support of Phones, Phones System, and Voice Mail system.
Administration Office 365, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS.
Administration of Firewalls, Web Gateway, Switches, Security Cameras System.
Assist with the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software.
Mac experience a plus.
AWS experience a plus.
