Client Overview:
With close to 100 years’ operating in the Midwest Heavy Civil Construction space, our client is gearing up for their another stellar year in 2025 (both revenue & project starts) as they coming off a great 5-year stretch in the Indianapolis market. This growth means they are looking to add a Superintendent to their Indianapolis market. DOT experience required.
Candidate Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
- OSHA 30 training (preferred), OSHA 10 training (required)
- Must have experience at managing construction projects in the bridge and or infrastructure industry
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Safety oriented
- Track record of being able to recruit crews
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend all required pre job meeting(s)
- Review the scope of each project with the Project Manager and Area Manager prior to beginning work
- Receive and review all union contracts prior to union pre jobs
- Set up job site prior to the start of the project
- Review and understand cost codes prior to starting work
- Communicate and maintain a good working relationship with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors and owners
- Ensure that all work is completed according to the specifications for the project
- Coordinate all subcontractor operations
- Manage the local union relationship
- Supervise all on site employees for assigned projects.
