WHY THIS JOB: ACCOUNTING MANAGER/CONTROLLER
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Ravalli County area and is looking to hire an Accounting Manager/Controller to lead all aspects of their accounting and finance functions. In this role, you’ll be the right hand of the CEO and supervise a small team. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment where you’ll be able to utilize your experience to develop new processes and procedures resulting in accurate and efficient data. The company was recently acquired by private equity, and they are in the process of helping the company grow in size and revenue with a globally recognized product. This is a rare opportunity to be a part of such an innovative company.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Manage all cash operations with a focus on ensuring complete accuracy
- Supervise the company's entire accounting functions, including forecasting, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Manage all manufacturing-specific accounting functions such as standard costing, WIP, COGS, BOM and overhead allocations
- Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations
- Provide financial insights to the board and assist in preparing board presentations
- Facilitate the company's transition from paper-based to digital processes
- AD Hoc as assigned
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field is preferred
- Strong understanding & experience with manufacturing accounting principles and practices
- Proven experience with financial audits, ideally having led or participated in the audit process
- Strong knowledge of cash management
- Experience in a smaller setting with full-cycle month-end processes
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel, with experience in ERP implementation
- CPA and/or CMA is a plus!

- Hybrid – Ravalli County, MT
- $125K - $140K + up to 15% discretionary bonus
