CSG Talent is working with a biotechnology start up to search for a Senior Electrical Systems architect to join the team on site in the South Boston office.
They are looking to revolutionise cell biology research with innovative semiconductor-based platforms. The systems provide real-time cellular insights at the single-cell level across various cell types.
The technology integrates semiconductors with standard micro plates, enabling multi-modal analysis capabilities. This breakthrough allows for unprecedented data collection and scalability in cell biology research, drug development, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in designing complex PCBs and developing tools for validating and testing custom PCB assemblies. This role also requires expertise in semiconductor testing for custom Mixed Signal ASICs, including specifying test hardware and defining test methodologies based on ASIC specifications.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot circuit issues in existing designs and issues from manufacturing processes
- Define and implement manufacturing and test processes for PCBA sub systems
- Design, verify and characterise PCBs and fixtures for the PCBA tester systems and report the results in a presentable manner
- Troubleshoot tester hardware and software issues to resolve, analyse, and improve prototype and production yields.
- Implement and optimise test setups and processes at Contract Manufacturing sites including identification, specification, design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Specify, procure, and maintain Electrical Test laboratory equipment.
Qualifications:
- BS degree with 6+ years, MS degree with 4+ years of industry experience in hardware development and test.
- Extensive experience with PCB design tools: Altium
- Hands-on practical knowledge in a test development environment.
- Experience with using Electrical Test and Measurement instrumentation: oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers, precision voltage and current sources, filters
- Experience with running and maintaining an Electrical Test Laboratory.
