The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management, analysis, support, and implementation services to internal business units.
Responsibilities in this role will include:
- Lead projects leveraging IT best practices and project management techniques and best practices (such as identifying project goals, deliverables, schedules), communication (both oral and written documents), process development, business and technical analysis
- Coordinate project planning efforts related to implementing and/or IT Strategic Priorities/Roadmap.
- May involve creating long and short-term plans, including targets, resource tracking and milestones.
- Delegating or partnering with resource managers to delegate project tasks to team members best suited to complete them.
- Monitor/report on Project status as needed for resource/project reporting.
- Adjusting schedules and targets on projects as needs or financing for the project changes.
- Partner with IT and other business units to evaluate third-party solutions and in-house options for technology solutions.
- Responsible for the supporting the implementation of project online/web apps for Facilities, Information Governance, and IT Projects leveraging IT program processes.
- Solve complex problems by exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information, typically with a quantitative and qualitative aspect.
- Perform analyses, evaluate technical projects to understand the risks and financial impact, and build business cases to assist management in decision making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Top skills you need to have:
- A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or business administration with study in project management.
- A minimum of eight years’ experience in the IT field with at least six years’ experience in application support, and minimum four years’ experience in systems/IT project management. Specific project management training and/or PMI certification is a strong plus.
- Promoting teamwork by leading projects to Realtime delivery leveraging open communication is a must.
- The ability to work independently and to take initiative with limited to no supervision. Extensive experience in absorbing complex information and communicating effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Broad understanding of information systems and a deep understanding of area(s) of specialization.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions/best practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to convey technical information in an understandable manner, both in oral and written form.
