Interior Architect / Project Manager (Luxury Residential Design)
A leading design firm is seeking an experienced Interior Architect / Project Manager with a passion for residential design. This full-time position requires a candidate who is organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about residential construction systems, materials, and methods. The role involves supporting senior team members in coordinating the architectural and construction scope across various high-end residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interior design team to manage construction scope and maintain project documentation, including architectural submissions, redlining, and sketches.
- Set up and maintain RFI logs for each project, review weekly progress reports, and track action items.
- Attend site visits and meetings, both locally and virtually, as required.
- Maintain architectural schedules and spec information.
- Work with architects, general contractors, and other consultants to ensure design intent is met, and respond to submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings promptly.
- Source and vet construction materials and finishes, obtain pricing and samples, and manage direct-to-vendor payments.
- Archive construction-related control samples, photo documentation, and quality control issues.
- Participate in and manage the Construction Administration phase, including punchlist coordination.
- Correspond with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing high-end, luxury residential projects.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of construction materials, documents, and processes.
- Deep understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and luxury residential materials.
- Proficient in building systems, codes, and interior architecture detailing.
- Strong AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) skills.
- Advanced sketching abilities and familiarity with NYC design resources.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of self-management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
