Our litigation finance advisory company is seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our growing 4-person team in an in person capacity, with some flexibility for remote work as needed. We are expanding in the rapidly developing litigation finance industry and need a driven individual to help support this growth. In this role, you will play a critical part in both helping companies, law firms, and individuals obtain funding to enable them to pursue litigation and/or support their business while
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate in-person and remote meetings with clients, their lawyers, and potential litigation funding companies
- Assist in coordinating marketing events and business development efforts
- Perform legal research and writing to analyze potential litigation investment opportunities
- Help prepare presentations on litigation investment prospects for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain organized records and case files in our case management system
- Provide general administrative support to the legal and business development teams as needed
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or legal services setting; litigation experience strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal databases like Westlaw or LexisNexis a plus
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, particularly HubSpot, a plus
- Professional, service-oriented demeanor
- Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
- Authorized to work in the United States
