Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and guide the team of Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisors.
- Lead the implementation and management of AS9100 Quality Systems.
- Actively participate as a leader or team member in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Systems and Process Management:
- Design and maintain systems for quality control, assurance, and process management to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
- Develop control plans, FMEAs, and other quality planning documents.
- Establish and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Training and Development:
- Provide training for employees on quality control, SPC, assurance practices, auditing, and necessary documentation.
- Oversee and document employee training activities and manage various programs/projects aimed at continuous improvement of company systems and products.
Auditing and Compliance:
- Conduct audits of products, processes, and systems to assess the effectiveness of corrective actions taken.
- Review Manufacturing Operation Sheets to ensure that changes in manufacturing processes or methods do not negatively impact quality or breach contractual obligations.
Corrective Action and Improvement:
- Perform root cause analysis and manage closed-loop corrective actions.
- Coordinate failure analysis for returned discrepant products, ensuring effective cause identification and corrective actions.
- Develop and enforce procedures for the timely resolution of discrepant materials and assess associated costs and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
- 5+ years' relevant work experience
- Familiarity with ISO9000:2000, AS9100 Quality Systems, ISO17025, NADCAP, and AS13100 standards.
- Proven experience conducting internal and supplier audits in accordance with AS 9100 Rev D.
- Skilled in applying statistical methods for process control, capability analysis, and gage R&R studies.
