Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Corporate Associate Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience in mergers and acquisitions to join our client's thriving Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in transactional law, a proven track record in handling complex M&A matters, and a dedication to delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a wide range of corporate transactions, with a primary focus on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and other ancillary documents.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless transactions.
- Advise clients on corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance issues related to M&A transactions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Illinois State Bar (or eligibility for admission by motion).
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions at a law firm.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced practice.
