We are seeking a talented individual to join a cutting-edge team that specializes in data engineering, software development, security engineering, DevOps, and data science.
What You'll Be Doing:
Collaborative Engineering: Work alongside a dedicated team on data engineering and operations, software engineering, security engineering, DevOps, application development, and data science initiatives.
Application Development: Support the creation and customization of both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications and newly developed applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
Cloud Experience:
- Proficient in developing infrastructure as code using tools like HashiCorp Terraform, OpenTofu, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with automated virtual machine builds using HashiCorp Packer.
- Skilled in AWS services including EC2, S3 (including bucket policy creation), and VPC APIs.
- Knowledgeable in configuration management tools such as Puppet, Salt, Chef, or similar.
- Experience with Docker.
On-Premise Experience:
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and VPNs, with experience in automating cloud vendor virtual private server setups.
- Proven ability in automated provisioning and security hardening of Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with various hardware profiles, including laptops and desktop computers.
- Experience with mirroring Linux OS installers and their associated package repositories.
- Demonstrated expertise as a full-stack developer, with experience in frontend and backend technologies like SpringBoot, Django, Flask, Angular, jQuery, or React.
- Proficiency with backend databases and search systems such as Elasticsearch, JanusGraph, DataStax Graph, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and SQLite.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Proficient in programming languages including Java, Python, Shell Scripting (bash), and JavaScript.
- Skilled in using software engineering tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Git, and Docker.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and DevOps toolsets.
- Competency in developing for AWS, on-premise, and standalone environments.
- Experience with cloud data services (e.g., S3, RDS, SNS, SQS).
Clearance Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
