We are exclusively partnered with a Top 5 ENR Massachusets Contractor general contractor known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. With an impressive turnover and growth rate, the company are expanding their team and seeking a dynamic Senior Superintendent to join the team.
Position Overview -
As a Senior Superintendent, you will be leading work ranging from $40M - to $100M; these projects will be in the multifamily, commercial, retail and healthcare sector.
Responsibilities -
- Field SOP Implementation: Understand and apply Field Standard Operating Procedures.
- Site Management: Oversee, manage, and document daily job site activities.
- Team Management: Manage field personnel according to the project plan, provide performance feedback, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Communication: Regularly update the Project Manager on issues, events, performance, and progress.
- Problem-Solving: Report problems promptly to the Project Manager for cost-effective solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Establish effective working relationships and seek advice from senior staff as needed.
- Jobsite Coverage: Provide coverage, including nights and weekends if required.
- Implement the Project Baseline Schedule with the PM, considering all contract requirements.
- Update the Project Schedule monthly and the three-week look-ahead schedule weekly.
- Schedule subcontractor safety meetings before they start work.
- Ensure all subcontractors have necessary safety documents and insurance.
- Review the project daily for compliance with OSHA regulations and safety plans.
- Establish project benchmarks and insert them into the baseline schedule.
- Implement the QAQC SOP with the team.
- Manage site pre-construction activities and maintain job site standards.
- Organize project documentation for easy access.
- Ensure high-quality subcontractor performance and resolve project challenges.
- Attend and chair various project-related meetings, including turnover, coordination, safety, and closeout meetings.
- Complete construction office checklists and maintain logs of key activities.
- Manage material deliveries and maintain safety reporting and other required documentation.
- Keep as-built working drawings and drawing logs up-to-date.
