System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our rapidly growing IT Operations team, providing top-level technical support for applications, systems access, hardware, software, and network issues. Strong communication skills are essential for supporting staff at all levels. The ideal candidate will understand IT methodology and solutions, be forward-thinking, and collaborate with local and remote IT members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Support installation, optimization, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, security, and upgrades of IT systems on-premises and cloud-based.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues onsite and remotely.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules for IT systems and maintain inventories.
- Manage and support in-house software and cloud/SaaS solutions.
- Monitor IT systems performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement changes per policies.
- Develop ITIL best practice policies, procedures, and Knowledge Base documentation.
- Document troubleshooting and resolution notes in ITSM software.
- Continuously research to resolve issues and enhance skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field with 5+ years of Sys Admin experience.
- 5+ years in on-premise infrastructure IT System administration.
- 3+ years in Azure IT System administration.
- 3+ years with Azure services: Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Security, Azure AD, and Local AD.
- 1-3 years scripting and deploying automation with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Power Automate.
- Experience in cloud security, compliance best practices, and database administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), MS Defender, and O365.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, Security Engineer).
- Azure HCI experience.
- Scripting, Power Automate, and other automation tools experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize support tickets and manage workload.
- Familiarity with cloud and on-premises applications, Cisco networks, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications: Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
- OKTA or other IDP experience.
- Experience with Box or other cloud content management.
