Every Special Child Is seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist OT for School Year 2024-25 to join our team in Oxnard, CA. We have the following requirements:
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on Kids' goals and needs
- Help Kids improve their ability to perform daily activities, such as dressing, eating, and bathing
- Teach students how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence
- Provide guidance and support to students' families and caregivers
- Monitor Kids' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as Special Education Teachers, School Nurses, LVNs, Teacher Aide, and Speech Therapists, to ensure comprehensive childcare.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Active license as an occupational therapist in California
- Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and intervention strategies
- Strong assessment and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and patients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with patients in a School setting
