Senior Project Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage new proposed Station buildouts as part of the Electric Sector Modernization Plan (ESMP) in New Bedford, MA. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in project management within the electric sector, particularly in the areas of overhead, substation, and underground segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level project management oversight, offering expertise and direction across all aspects of the project.
- Manage the overall project lifecycle, including schedule and budget management, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Lead the development and construction of new substations, distribution lines, and transmission lines as part of the ESMP.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to drive project progress and ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with design teams to facilitate Design Development and Progression, including Scope Definition, Conceptual, Preliminary, Detailed, and Issued for Construction stages.
- Work closely with subcontractors, bringing prior experience either as a subcontractor or in working with them.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in project management within the electric sector, with a focus on overhead, substation, and underground projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred but not required.
- Extensive experience in substation design and construction is highly desirable.
- Strong self-starter with the motivation to lead and complete projects successfully.
- Must be willing to travel as needed to project sites.
- Candidates must be local, residing within a 50-mile radius of New Bedford, MA.
