Job Title: Facilities / Utilities Engineer
Location: Stanton, TN
We are hiring immediately for a Facilities / Utilities Engineer in Stanton, TN. In this role you will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up. A strong candidate will have a background within the automotive and / or electronics manufacturing industry.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Establish and manage annual maintenance / repair plan and budget.
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Request for renovation and issue a purchase order.
- Manage facility maintenance and repair performance
- Establish and manage annual investment plan and budget.
- Review facility investment techniques.
- Review construction drawings and make simple modifications (P&ID, etc.).
- Write down specifications for a new construction and write down construction documents for public use.
- Request for new facility’s quotation and issue a construction purchase order.
- Manage facility investment performance.
- Review and repair the facility based on the requests received by the system.
- Manage and revise the facility operation manual.
- Daily / monthly / quarterly / yearly facility inspection.
- Identify the cause of the facility abnormalities and review the technology
- Prepare the reports of abnormalities to manage the history (if needed).
- Plan to optimize the operation efficiency.
- Manage pipe (air, water supply, etc.)
- Analyze the energy usage trends by each equipment.
- Identify energy saving potential items by equipment.
- Manage monthly energy saving performance (operating time applied).
- Conduct / oversee operational safety inspection (PSV [safety valve], pressure vessel, & static pressure).
- Create and manage documents on facility required by PSM / ISO.
- Take appropriate measures to improve facility, and correct non-conformity specified by PSM / ISO.
- Supervise the mechanical facility construction (due to repair and extension of mechanical facility, or due to change of production line).
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through route cause analysis and drive change back to the production departments. Must have the necessary skill set to have job placement flexibility and the expectation to rotate to various positions within the plant such as Production or Quality
- Must display strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System.
- Must demonstrate the ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities
- Must have the ability to serve as a strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary)
- Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern
- Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase
- Candidate must be willing to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during initial plant start-up phase
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience
- Experience with utility equipment preferred
- Gas boiler, NMP-related certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
Shift: Rotating Shifts (high possibility of rotating shifts, with a 3-2-2-3 method (12 Hour Shifts). This is 3 days ON and 2 days OFF; this will mean they will have 2 full weekends (Fri-Sun) off and work 2 full weekends)
- Must have the ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern
- Must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase
- Must be willing to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during the initial plant start-up phase
Travel: Must be flexible for significant travel (10-25% (Significant travel will be required during training (primarily to GA & potentially some to South Korea). After training process, all travel will be domestic (less than 15%) to KY, GA).
Relocation: Comprehensive relocation package (exact numbers not defined yet). *This position will be working remotely until November-December 2023. After that point, it will be full time in Stanton, TN.
Performance: We will offer a performance incentive bonus (numbers not defined yet).
