My client is an independent investment and wealth management firm hiring a Client Services Associate to join their team. The Associate will work alongside other associates and analysts to support multiple Advisors.
The firm is looking for someone with 3 years of experience working in a similar position out of a wealth management firm. A CFP is a bonus, but not required.
Position: Client Services Associate
Compensation: $80,000-$95,000 (based on experience) + bonus
Schedule: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Organize and prepare materials for regular client meetings that occur 2-4 times per year
- Attend and participate in all Chicago area (and possibly out of town) client meetings and prepare the follow-up letter and action lists associated with each client meeting
- Monitor and implement client-agreed action items, which most importantly requires working directly with clients to ensure proper execution of all investment documents
- Review quarterly client reporting package and participate in quarterly calls with the client to review the materials
- Assist in the development and implementation of customized asset allocation and wealth transfer strategies for the client
- Work with the client’s outsourced tax, legal and other experts to help facilitate tax, wealth transfer, and philanthropic planning goals
- Assist in the preparation of new business development presentations.
- Participate in other internal firm initiative
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to provide exceptional client service in our energetic, disciplined, and team-oriented environment
- Consistently high attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and execution.
- Strong analytical skills
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Familiar with various investment asset classes and basic investment concepts, including alternative investments
- At least three years of financial planning, family office, tax, or investment working experience with high-net-worth families.
- CPA, CFP, or MBA is a plus.
