Job Title: Corporate Associate
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $260,000 - $390,000
An Am Law Top 50 firm is seeking an Associate with 3-6 years of experience in private company mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, debt finance, and general corporate matters to join their Private Equity and Venture Capital group in Chicago. Experience in private equity transactions is preferred. The ideal candidate must be admitted to the Illinois bar or in the process of securing admission, and should have strong academic credentials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and senior attorneys.
• Draft transaction agreements with efficiency and clarity.
• Negotiate deal terms alongside clients and supervising attorneys.
• Manage transaction processes and closings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Communicate professionally with clients and senior attorneys.
• Oversee and mentor junior team members.
