Our client is seeking outgoing, well-organized, and committed advocates for biking and social equity to join the team as an Outreach Leader. As Outreach Leader, you will represent the brand, promote memberships, register new members, and educate local residents about the power of bike share.
This is a seasonal position, offering up to 15 hours per week with mainly daytime hours and occasional evening and weekend work for special events.
**Please note this is an onsite, 3-month contract, part-time role - pay will be $20-22/hr**
Key Aspects of Position:
- Represent the brand at assigned events and locations which could include stations, community events/ meetings, and other special events in local city.
- Participate as a member of the Outreach Team in making events successful by effectively disseminating information, encouraging registration, managing registration and facilitating an enjoyable and productive event experience for all participants.
- Elevate the brand as a valuable and prominent presence within target communities
- Assist community members with enrollment in the program on a mobile in-person basis
- Conduct in-person demonstrations on how to use the kiosk, app and/or the products.
- Ability to write detailed notes describing the event and feedback from residents and potential customers.
- Manage databases and spreadsheets required for events.
- Demonstrate features, check-in/out procedures for bikes and kiosk sign up to potential customers
- Willingness and ability to work off-hours and/or weekends
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- 18 years of age or older
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, bending, stooping, standing long hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Can communicate effectively with people of all ages, abilities, cultural groups, economic statuses, sexual orientations, and disabilities.
- Comfortable speaking with strangers and in public
- Outgoing and energetic
- Ability and comfort in riding a bike
- Works well in a team and fosters team spirit
- Ability to take direction and to learn basic facts about the application system
- Self-starter, able to work effectively and reliably with minimal supervision
- Good at solving problems, thinking creatively, and self-motivation
