We have a project based Contract opening (potential for contract to hire) for an experienced SQL DBA that has a strong background in database security and implementing TDE. This person will take point on updating and encrypting servers and database for the test and production environment for healthcare data. This person will be responsible for handling security issues, service accounts, modify logins and encrypting of the database and servers.This position will spend a week with the Database Manager, DBA, and Team understanding the environment and then can VPN and work mostly remote. This person will stand alone and self-manage to get the projects completed however there will be a database team and management that can be a resource for questions and any necessary input and direction. Initial project estimated at 2-3 months however there is a possibility of more project work or a contract to hire for conversion later.
Background requested:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years experience enabling TDE in a MS SQL Environment
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and other database management systems.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption.
