Come join our dynamic team of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professionals! Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional to support our ongoing sustainability, compliance, and risk reduction efforts at the Camden, AR site. This complex manufacturing site offers the EHS professional an opportunity to work with manufacturing and support teams to foster employee engagement, and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program.
Job Summary:
What You Will Do
- Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous workplace conditions.
- Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors.
- Working with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements.
- Investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place.
- Interact with employees and promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
- Support the site’s environmental compliance programs, including, but not limited to, hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, air quality permitting, wastewater, and toxic chemical reporting.
- Develop and implement sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with our long-term goals.
- Manage data and reporting related to sustainability programs.
- Identify environmental risk and complete due diligence; investigate root cause for environmental incidents.
- Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal SkillBridge Candidate will possess the following:
- 5 years applicable EH&S experience
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental compliance including RCRA, stormwater pollution prevention, etc. and in sustainability programs.
- General Knowledge of 4145.26 DOD Explosives Operations.
- Previous experience working at an OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) site.
- Professional Certification in the EHS field (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.).
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

SkillBridge Eligibility overview:
To be eligible for this SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:
• Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
• Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
• Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
• Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
