The Production Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire production operation of specialized customized business items. This role involves strategic management of digital printing operations, ensuring high-quality product output, optimizing equipment usage, and leading a team to meet organizational goals efficiently and effectively.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the digital printing department to align with the company’s overall objectives.
- Direct and refine all aspects of our digital print production, focusing on the design, print labs, labeling, and precise calibration of laser printers. Ensure top-quality execution from inception to final product.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Oversee the complete production lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration of print, warehouse, and logistics functions.
- Uphold stringent quality control standards, particularly in color consistency and label accuracy across all production outputs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of in-house designers and printing technicians. Facilitate robust collaboration between sales, design, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve design-related challenges.
- Liaise with key vendors for advanced technical support and manage inventories of essential materials such as labels, parts, and inks to mitigate any potential shortages.
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure optimal storage and distribution practices. Strategically manage logistics to enhance delivery efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive strategic enhancements in production, warehouse, and logistics operations. Regularly report to management on process advancements, challenges, and opportunities for further refinements.
- Ensure close collaboration with design, print, and production teams to guarantee that all projects align with client specifications and are delivered on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or related 5+ years in a production management role, preferably in digital printing or a closely related industry.
- Expert knowledge of digital printing technology and industry trends.
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in production scheduling and project management.
