LHH is partnering with a prominent Property Management company in Washington, DC, to find a Property Coordinator for a long-term contract role. This position is expected to last for at least 4 months, with the potential for permanent placement. The role requires a fully onsite presence, 5 days a week, with occasional flexible weekend hours. Compensation ranges from $23 to $27 per hour. We’re looking for someone with a passion for property management, strong customer service skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of assigned properties.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency, maintaining strong tenant relationships.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors and maintenance staff to ensure timely and high-quality completion.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support leasing activities, including showing properties to prospective tenants, handling applications, and finalizing lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of property expenses, rent payments, and other financial transactions.
- Contribute to budget preparation and variance analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities and enhancing property performance.
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, property regulations, and local ordinances.
- Collaborate with the property management team to develop and implement strategies for maximizing property value and occupancy rates.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Property Manager or senior management.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws, lease agreements, and property regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in property management is a plus.
